Maya Williams (they/she) is a Black Mixed Race queer nonbinary woman, suicide survivor, and poet residing in Portland, Maine. Maya has published poetry in glitterMOB, Occulum, A Gathering Together, The Portland Press Herald, and FreezeRay.
Maya has published essays in Black Girl Nerds, The Tempest, MetroUK, Black Youth Project, and RaceBaitr. She has received residencies from organizations such as Sundress Academy for the Arts (SAFTA) and Voices of Our Nation Arts (VONA) Foundation.
